Job Description:

Senior Financial & Tax Planning Analyst
Remote- Schedule: 4 PM till 1 AM or 5 PM till 2 AM Beirut- Salary: $2500-$3000

Company Overview

It is a specialized, client-first CPA and advisory firm that helps business owners and affluent clients keep more of what they earn through proactive tax planning, implementation, and compliance. The company blends rigorous technical expertise with a practical, business-operator mindset to deliver clear, actionable strategies that drive measurable outcomes.

You'll find a collaborative, remote-friendly culture built on ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement. The team values clear communication, strong documentation, and process excellence—leveraging technology and responsible AI to deliver accurate, timely, and transparent work that clients can trust.

Mission

We’re hiring a Senior Financial & Tax Planning Analyst to turn complex client financials and tax information into organized, reliable models, forecasts, and support schedules that power smart decisions. You’ll own analyses from the first information request through review-ready delivery—reconciling records, building integrated forecasts, modeling book-to-tax differences, and clearly documenting assumptions so our advisors can move quickly and confidently.

If you enjoy investigating inconsistencies, building transparent models, and collaborating with a high-performing advisory team—while improving templates and workflows along the way—you’ll thrive here. If you love ownership, precision, and helping clients make better decisions with better data—you’ll feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence.

  • Prepare and manage client information requests; follow up on missing or incomplete items.
  • Review financial statements, general ledgers, tax returns, depreciation schedules, debt schedules, and supporting records.
  • Reconcile information across accounting records, tax documents, and planning models.
  • Identify inconsistencies, missing information, and accounting issues that could affect the analysis.
  • Perform targeted bookkeeping adjustments or cleanup within the approved engagement scope.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based models for revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Prepare integrated financial forecasts appropriate to each engagement.
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate changes in performance and assumptions.
  • Compare actual results with forecasts and explain material variances.
  • Create reusable modeling templates to improve consistency, efficiency, and reviewability.
  • Support valuation-related financial analysis under the direction of the technical lead.
  • Prepare and maintain basis schedules and related supporting analyses.
  • Model book-to-tax differences, depreciation adjustments, and other timing differences.
  • Support analyses related to revenue recognition and proposed accounting-method changes.
  • Incorporate approved tax assumptions and planning strategies into financial models.
  • Organize supporting workpapers so reviewers can trace calculations to source documents.
  • Escalate technical questions and uncertain tax treatments rather than making unsupported assumptions.
  • Use advanced Excel to structure data, automate recurring calculations, and create transparent models.
  • Use Power BI or other approved tools when they improve analysis or reporting.
  • Work with Microsoft Access or other data tools where relevant to existing workflows.
  • Use firm-approved AI tools to enhance research, model development, documentation, and efficiency; independently validate all AI-assisted work and follow confidentiality requirements.
  • Document models, assumptions, procedures, and handoff instructions clearly.
  • Manage assigned deliverables and communicate progress without requiring frequent follow-up.
  • Explain findings, assumptions, limitations, and unresolved questions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with tax-planning advisors, compliance professionals, and designated client contacts.
  • Deliver work that is organized, self-reviewed, and ready for technical review.
  • Identify opportunities to improve both the analysis and the processes used to produce it.
